Internet Site Blocking Software
Internet Site Blocking Software
Any good software to block certain sites on a school network?
Recently I’ve become the IT guy for my school. I just set up a network and gave all the computers internet access. Now, my teacher asked me to block out certain sites, like myspace and torrents. I did that and added some keyword blocking for porn sites. All of this was done via the main router. However, afterward, I saw in histories kids were accessing porn: I tried to filter more terms, but my router only allows 16. Any ideas on a good way to block objectionable material?
I don’t have any sort of server set up going, just a bunch of networked computers. So any install would go over each and every one, so a server solution wouldn’t work, and budget is tight. Bess looks good but I’m not sure about pricing.
why would you do this to these poor kids! lol yeh well my school attempts to block us too but I’m just too damn smart for them. However since I enjoy the idea of computer illiterate morons suffering without their pornography I am going to help you out. All you really need to do is set up a filter on the entire system such as bess, like they use at my school. Of course there are ways to get around this but most people don’t waste time to find them. All you need to do is google “bess” and their homepage should come up at the top of the list. Then I am fairly certain that u just go to an administrator computer, and change the internet settings for the whole network so that it routes your computer connection to go through bess’s filter. It should be explained on bess’s website, and voila! no more porn for the noob kids. hope I helped XD
How to ByPass website blocking !!! no software needed
