Palm Tungsten E2, Do you have to download software to be able to edit work/excel.?

I want to buy this palm product but do you have to buy a diffrent software to be able to edit work/excel documents or can you do that out of the box.

According to the Palm website (see link), the E2 comes with Documents to Go 7, which is Palm’s program that allows you to open word/excel/powerpoint files directly on the handheld. It can be set up to automatically sync these files with your computer at HotSync, as well.
